Airport Hotels With a 24-Hour Shuttle: The Three We Could Verify on the Hotel's Own Page

A shortlist with one rule: the hotel's own page has to state the shuttle hours. Three properties passed, three well-known airport hotels did not, and the way they fail is the thing to recognise.

The verdict

  1. Hilton Los Angeles Airport is the strongest 24-hour shuttle we could verify, because its own amenity listing publishes the frequency as well as the hours: the LAX courtesy bus is described as a "24/7 Loop, Every 30 Mins." Price it against the alternatives and check live rates at LAX airport hotels before you book anything cheaper and hope.
  2. Hampton Inn New York - JFK Airport publishes a 24/7 shuttle with one caveat you must read — the hotel's own description says the free shuttle runs to and from Federal Circle Station, the AirTrain stop, rather than to your terminal door.
  3. Best Western Plus GranTree Inn in Bozeman is the clearest small-airport case, because its own shuttle page states in plain English that the service "operates 24 hours a day." Outside the big hubs, that sentence is rare.

Why this list is short

"Free airport shuttle" is one of the most over-claimed amenities in hotel marketing, and the reason is structural: a shuttle is a vehicle and a driver, and both cost money at 4am. A property can honestly say it has a shuttle and still not run one overnight.

So we set one rule for this shortlist. A hotel only appears below if its own page states the hours, and we could quote the sentence. Not a booking site's amenity icon, not a review, not "24-hour front desk" — the hotel's own published shuttle term.

Three properties cleared it. Three well-known airport hotels did not, and we name them at the end, because the way they fail is the thing you need to recognise on the next hotel page you open.

1. Hilton Los Angeles Airport

Hilton's hotel-info page lists ground transport per airport. For LAX the courtesy bus is marked available and complimentary, and the descriptor field reads "24/7 Loop, Every 30 Mins."

That phrasing does two jobs. "24/7" answers the hours question. "Loop, Every 30 Mins" answers the question most travellers actually care about at 2am, which is not whether a shuttle exists but how long you will stand outside waiting for it. A continuous loop with a stated headway is a fundamentally different promise from an on-request van.

The same page lists Hollywood Burbank and John Wayne as "Not available" for shuttle service, which is a useful signal of how literally the field is maintained: it is not a marketing blurb, it is a per-airport data field with a real "no" in it.

Best for: a red-eye arrival or a pre-dawn departure at LAX, where the question is frequency rather than existence.

2. Hampton Inn New York - JFK Airport

The Hilton page for this property titles itself around the shuttle. The JFK courtesy bus is marked available and complimentary, and the descriptor reads "24/7. Call hotel."

Read the second half of that string. "Call hotel" means the van is dispatched, not looped — you telephone from the terminal and wait for a pickup. At 3am that is still a service, but it is not a vehicle circling.

Then read the hotel's own description, which adds a detail the amenity field does not: "Two miles from JFK International Airport and a free shuttle to and from Federal Circle Station." Federal Circle is the JFK AirTrain station, not a terminal. The page publishes 24/7 in the courtesy-bus field and names Federal Circle as the shuttle's endpoint in the description, and it does not reconcile the two — so ask the hotel whether the overnight van meets you at the terminal or at the AirTrain stop. If you are landing with three suitcases and a sleeping child, those are materially different arrivals, and no amount of "24/7" settles which one you get.

We flag it rather than disqualify it because the hotel publishes it plainly. The failure mode is not the hotel's honesty; it is a traveller reading "24/7 shuttle" and picturing the wrong vehicle.

Best for: a solo traveller with carry-on luggage and a late JFK arrival who is comfortable with the AirTrain leg.

3. Best Western Plus GranTree Inn, Bozeman

Small-airport hotels are where a 24-hour shuttle matters most and is promised least, because the first flight out of a regional field is often the only flight that connects.

The GranTree Inn's own shuttle page states that the hotel "features a free 24-hour shuttle service" and, further down, that "Our free Bozeman airport shuttle service operates 24 hours a day, so you can always make your flight on time." Two independent sentences on one page, both unambiguous. The same page also describes a separate free city shuttle, and directs guests to ask the front desk for drop-off details.

Best for: a 6am Bozeman departure, where the alternative is a rideshare that may not exist at 4:30am in February.

The three that did not qualify, and how to spot them

Wyndham Garden Miami Airport publishes its shuttle hours honestly and they are not 24-hour. Its shuttle page states: "Our complimentary airport shuttle operates daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with hourly service on a first-come, first-served basis." The page is headed as a pick-up update effective January 27, 2026. Note the second half of that sentence, which is the sharper constraint: hourly, first-come, first-served. A shuttle you can miss by two minutes and then wait sixty for is a different product from a loop.

Hilton Garden Inn Los Angeles Airport marks its LAX shuttle available and complimentary, and then, in the field where Hilton LAX prints "24/7 Loop, Every 30 Mins", prints "see hotel info page." That was on the hotel info page. A cross-reference that points at itself is not an answer, and we are not going to invent one.

H Hotel Los Angeles, Curio Collection by Hilton also marks its LAX shuttle available and complimentary, with the descriptor "Has Airport Shuttle." That is a restatement, not an hour. The hotel sits beside the airport and may well run all night; the page does not say so, so we do not.

The pattern is worth internalising. On a Hilton property page, the useful text sits in the per-airport transport descriptor, and its content varies from a real schedule to a shrug. On an independent hotel's site, look for a dedicated shuttle or transportation page — the properties that run a genuine overnight service tend to build a page for it, because it is their main reason to be chosen.

What to ask before you trust it

Three questions cover almost every failure we found:

  • Is it a loop or a call? A loop has a headway you can plan around. A dispatched van has a phone number and a wait.
  • Where does it actually stop? Terminal curb, a consolidated ground-transport centre, or an AirTrain station are three different arrivals.
  • Does the hour hold on the day you fly? The Miami page below carries an effective date on its shuttle schedule, which means the schedule changes and the hotel's own page is the only place it is announced.

If the answer to any of those is missing, treat the hotel as not having a 24-hour shuttle and price it accordingly against parking. That comparison is the whole of our park-and-fly cost breakdown for a week-long trip, and the bundled version of it is in our read on park-stay-fly packages before an early flight.

The same "read the published term" discipline is what separates a real cruise-parking package from a vague one in our Port Canaveral park-and-cruise shortlist, and it is how we ranked chain checkout benefits in our late-checkout shortlist. For the wider question of which chain gives you a predictable room near an airport, our shortlist of predictable chains for business travellers is the companion piece, and our fees-and-taxes breakdown covers what lands on the folio.

Once you have your shortlist, compare airport hotel rates for your dates and then confirm the shuttle hours by phone. The published term is the filter; the phone call is the verification.

FAQ

Which airport hotels have a 24-hour shuttle?

Very few publish one. Hilton Los Angeles Airport lists its LAX courtesy bus as a 24/7 loop every 30 minutes. Hampton Inn New York - JFK Airport lists a 24/7 shuttle that you call for, running to Federal Circle Station rather than the terminals. Best Western Plus GranTree Inn in Bozeman states on its own page that its airport shuttle operates 24 hours a day. Always confirm with the property, since shuttle schedules change and are usually announced only on the hotel's own page.

Is a 24-hour front desk the same as a 24-hour shuttle?

No, and conflating them is the most common mistake. A 24-hour front desk means someone is there to check you in. A 24-hour shuttle means a vehicle runs overnight. Many hotels have the first and not the second, and the amenity list on a booking site rarely distinguishes them.

Do airport hotel shuttles go to every terminal?

Not always. Some drop at a consolidated ground transportation centre, and the Hampton Inn New York - JFK Airport page describes its free shuttle as running to and from Federal Circle Station, which is an AirTrain stop rather than a terminal curb. Check the stated pickup point before planning an arrival with heavy luggage or young children.

How early should I book an airport hotel with a shuttle?

Book the room whenever the rate suits you, but confirm the shuttle at the same time. Shuttle schedules are published on the hotel's own page and can change with an effective date, as the Wyndham Garden Miami Airport page shows with a pick-up update dated January 27, 2026. A room booked three months out does not lock the shuttle hours.

Is it cheaper to stay at an airport hotel or park at the airport?

It depends on trip length. For one night before an early flight, a hotel with included parking and a working shuttle often wins on total cost and on sleep. For a week-long trip, the parking allowance matters more than the room, because the lot fee compounds daily while the room is a single charge.
